Response Essay about the movie 'Brave'

         I hated the movie Brave. I'll tell you the reasons why. First, the story is too simple. Second, the movie has a lack of seriousness. Finally, the ending was totally messed up. The summary is about a character named Merida who tries to change her fate. However, she face a problem wich her mom turs into a bear. Let me tell you my reactions.

     I'm not saying it has to be complicated, but the story is way too simple. The order of the story is the mom becomes a bear and turns back into a human. The director should put more details to make the movie more fun.

   Also, the emotions were too weak. When Queen Elinor turned into a bear, Merida didn't cry very much. If I was Merida, my room would have been filled with tears.

    In addition, she cried when it was sunrise, but the sun didn't rise completely. Of course her mother wouldn't turn back into a human during sunrise. The witches' words were by sunrise. I think that part was weird.

   After I watched the movie and thought about what to write in the essay, I figured the problems were not to serious. Merida's mom turned into a bear and the solution to turn her back was so simple. All she needed to was to mend the bond. The instructions are so easy! (When I thought about the movie to write the essay, I thought like this.). Why does she have to go to Queen Elinor (Mom)'s room with her mom? Merida could have went herself. That was the part I did not quite get and the movie didn't give a clear reason why Merida did that.

 The marriage was cancelled, but the movie didn't tell us why. That was stupid. After Queen Elinor turns back into a bear, the next scene is the three clans leaving. Why?    There was supposed to be a marriage! So, this means the movie's ending was weak.

In conclusion, the movie Brave was simplistic. It was not a serious movie and finally I didn't like the ending. These are the reasons why I hate the movie.
